National Technical Univeristy of Athens

The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is the oldest and most prestigious institution in Greece in the field of Technology education. It has constantly contributed to the scientific, technical and economic development of the country since its foundation in 1836.

Its history is closely intertwined with the struggle for independence, democracy and social progress of the Greek people. In Greece NTUA is also known as "Ethnicon Metsovion Polytechnion” (National Metsovion Polytechnic) to honour its first founders. Nikolaos Stournaris, Eleni Tositsa, Michail Tositsas and Georgios Averof, all from Metsovo, a small town in the region of Epirus, made significant donations in the second half of the 19th century.

The Polytechnic has gained an important experience in the field of research and development community projects.

For the APC project it will be in charge of entering current procedures and current information flows, of identifying the main need of port systems and of the subsequent planning and development activities necessary to the project’s success.
